The department of Mechanical engineering is steadfast in achieving the vision and mission of the school and in line to this and to Empower the Talent of Tomorrow a seminar was organised on the theme of Employment Linked Skill Development in association with Made Easy on 07 October 2022 for B Tech pre-final & final year students of Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering and Civil Engineering. The objective of the Seminar was to spread awareness among the engineering graduates on how to crack the Civil Services Exam, Engineering Services Exam, GATE, PSUs and other competitive exams and the career options available after B Tech

The inauguration of this seminar took place at Seminar Hall, Uttaranchal Institute of Technology with the lamp lighting by the dignitaries. Mr Jitendra Tiwari Educationalist and Senior Faculty at MADE EASY and Mr Sreekanth Srivastava, Marketing Executive, Made Easy, New Delhi was the keynote speakers of the program which was presided by Prof (Dr) S D Pandey, Dean UIT, HoDs of all the departments and faculty members were also present.

On the occasion Prof (Dr) S D Pandey, Dean, UIT, Uttaranchal University emphasized on the importance of preparation for Competitive Examinations like GATE, IELTS, CAT,GRE, GMAT, and other Govt. level examinations and correlated them with the recruitment in the various Maharatana, Navratana & Miniratna companies through GATE.

The Vice-Chancellor Prof (Dr) Dharam Buddhi encouraged the students by sending his best wishes to students and the entire Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Department for organising such an event.

Mr Sanjeev Kumar Joshi HOD, ME, addressed the gathering with his encouraging words for organizing such an event and addressed the gathering. The keynote speaker Mr Jitendra Tiwari, an educationalist by profession, his name is registered in the LIMCA Book of Records for memorizing the world’s toughest dictionary GRE Barrons-words with meanings, words with page numbers and words in a sequence from A to Z and Z to A. In the course of the lesson, he taught the students new methods for learning and demonstrated how to remember concepts by simply associating the words with visual perceptions and practically demonstrating with the students.

The workshop was successfully conducted by Mr. Saurabh Aggarwal, Assistant Professor-Mechanical Engineering and Mr Vivek John, Assistant Professor-Mechanical Engineering under the esteemed guidance of Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Joshi, Head Mechanical Engineering Department, Dr Minakshi Memoria, Head, Computer Science Engineering, Mr Devendra Singh, Head Electronic & Communication Engineering and Mr Awadhesh Chandramauli, Head Civil Engineering Department with great zeal.

The program concluded with the formal vote of thanks given by Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Joshi (HoD-ME).
