Vice-chancellor’s Meet was held in Swami Ram Himalayan University, Jolly Grant to work out a concrete plan to raise the standard of Higher education in the country. Speaking at the Meet, Manisha Panwar , the Secretary, Higher Education, State of Uttarakhand stated that private education institutes and government must work in tandem and in full cooperation with each other to raise the quality of education. Both can utilize the resources of each other to provide direction to meaningful education.
Prof. D.S.Chauhan, Secretary of Association of Indian University, urged the educationists to make education job –oriented so that it leads to enhancement of employability of the degree holders and to ensure hundred percent placements after leaving college the quality of education has to be raised.
Recommendations to set up forum of all state universities, setting up Centre for Excellence, and sharing joint facility were also given. The Meet was attended by the leading educationists of the universities, which included the Chancellor and the vice- chancellor of Uttaranchal University also.
