A team of students from the Department of Mechanical Engineering pursuing B.Tech from Uttaranchal University presented an ‘Electric Powered Car’ in “Science & Art Exhibition – 2017” held in St. Joseph Academy, Dehradun on 14th October 2017. The Electric Car was designed by the team comprising Prav Jha, Ayush Maikhuri, Shubham Das, Mayank Bora, and Ankit Rana under the guidance of Mr. Amit Kumar Pal and Mr. Avnish Kumar, Assistant Professor and Project Coordinator – Mechanical Department.
The Electric Powered Car was the center of attraction in the exhibition among the students and guardians present. Many people took the test drive of the ‘Electric Powered Car’ and appreciated the team for their excellent work. This kind of vehicle can bring in a revolution in the field of automobiles as the car runs at a very low maintenance cost and produces no harmful emission. The running cost of the car is very less when compared with other fuel operated cars.
