A Mock Placement Event was organized on 12th October, 2019 by the Department of Mechanical Engineering Club UUMEC. The event started with the encouraging and motivating words of Head of Mechanical Engineering Department Mr. Sanjeev Kr. Joshi, Sr. Manager of Corporate Resource Centre of Uttaranchal University (CRC-UU) Mr. Iqbal Singh Sawhney and Manager (CRC-UU) Mr. Paramjeet Singh Saini. The event was divided into three rounds.

- Group Discussion
- Personal Interview
Students of B.Tech. (ME & CSE) & BCA Stream participated. The Registration Process for the event was done online. Aptitude Test was of 30 minutes duration. Students who qualified the Aptitude Test were divided into groups for the Second Round, i.e., Group Discussion. Training and Placement Head and PDP Faculty Members judged the GD Session and highlighted the strengths and weaknesses of the students. This was followed by PI Round. For PI, participants had to bring their resume along. Resume played an important role in the Final Round. PI consisted of Technical Questions of respective branches.
Gurvinder Singh from B.Tech M.E. 3rd Year bagged the First Prize followed by Sanskar Mohan (M.E. B.Tech., 3rd Year) and Yashodan Negi (M.E. B.Tech., 3rd Year). Besides the winners, Manish Kumar (C.E. 1st Year), Nitin Negi (C.S.E. 3rd Year) and Aashish Gusain (BCA 2nd Year) performed exceptionally well in the Final Round and were awarded with Certificates. Mr. Saurabh Aggarwal & Mr. Ravi Batra along with all the Faculty Members of Mechanical Engineering Department coordinated the event in coordination with faculty from (CRC-UU), Mr. Jolly Jackson & Mr. Rachit Rastogi and the students members of UUMEC Club.
