Department of Management organized a 14-Day Faculty Development Program on ‘Learning Management System’ from 25th March 2019 to 7th April 2019 to provide rigorous training to the educators and help them strengthen their understanding of learning management, learn and experiment with effective pedagogical techniques and gain exposure of advanced topics. Forty-nine faculty members of various Universities and Colleges participated in this program and reaped the benefits of training given by experts in 14 different technical sessions.
The program started with the Inaugural Session on 25th March 2019 at 10:30 a.m. with Lamp Lighting Ceremony followed by the recital of Saraswati Vandana. In this session the Convener of the program Prof. (Dr) Pradeep Suri introduced the experts for different technical sessions to the participants and Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of the University Prof. (Dr) N.K. Joshi welcomed all resource persons by presenting bouquet and memento as a token of love and respect.
The Technical Session of the program started on 25th March. The session’s Keynote Speaker Ms. Pooja Anand introduced the topic “Blended Learning Approach” highlighting how online educational material and traditional approaches can be combined to give better learning experience to the students. In the further sessions Ms. Pooja Anand acquainted the audience with the usage and the features of Learning Management System (LMS) as well as illustrated the usage and creation of effective online courses through MOODLE LMS Creation and Resources. She also enlightened the attendees about various Open Educational Resources, their accessibility and how they can be exploited for teaching-learning process. The next Keynote Speaker Dr. Suman Gulia articulated about various methods for Video Lecture Preparation and how it is to be integrated with LMS from 29th March, 2019. Dr. Suman Gulia demonstrated in detail e-Content Development for LMS. He also elucidated LMS Activities-Assignments and Rubrics and IMS Package Creation and integrate with LMS, thus enhancing the knowledge about usage of latest technologies in education through various platforms. The third Keynote Speaker was Dr. Swati Mishra who added to knowledge by showcasing the methods of creating Question Bank and Quiz in LMS. She also illustrated the ways to design and develop Assessment Tools and Collaborative Tools for LMS. Dr. Swati Mishra exemplified about LMS Development for Institutions and Deployment and passionately took the practical session.
The Valedictory Session of the program was conducted on 7th April 2019 at 5:00pm. Session Coordinator Dr. Anshul Sharma proposed the Vote of Thanks to the Chief Patron, Patron, Organizing Committee Members, Keynote Speakers and participants. At the end of the program, certificates were distributed to the participants of the program.
