Two students of Uttaranchal University, namely, Deeksha Chauhan of BCA – III Year (UIM) and Kartik Patwal of B.Tech.(CSE) – IV Year (UIT), brought laurels to the University by winning ‘Duet Dance Competition’ in “Sierra’20” – the annual Management, Cultural and Sports Fest of IIM Sirmaur (1st & 2nd February, 2020). In the tough competition where a large number of students from Universities and Colleges across India participated they left their mark by their brilliant performance. The event was judged by Hip-Hop International. The compatibility of Deeksha and Kartik along with their power packed performance and chemistry won them the prestigious title which awarded them a Landing Trip to Thailand (4N/5D) Trip worth INR 32000. They made everyone proud as they got the opportunity to represent Dehradun in India Hip Hop Dance Championship 2020.
Both the achievers were felicitated by Hon’ ble Chancellor Shri Jitender Joshi and Vice- Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) N.K. Joshi. They also appreciated the efforts of Dr. Bharti Ramola, Head- Cultural & Events, Uttaranchal University, who facilitated their participation in the event. Dr. Bharti Ramola appreciated the efforts of Deeksha and Kartik along with the support of Faculty Coordinators, Mr. Abhishek Pathak (UIM) and Ms. Ruby Pant (UIT).
