RGNUL – National Parliamentary Debate- 2016
“AGAHI -2016”, the annual National Parliamentary Debate organised by Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (Punjab) saw participation from prestigious colleges from all over the country including various National Law Universities (CNUL, HNUL, GNUL etc) and IIT’s.
LAW College Dehradun’s team ‘ Three Proletarians’ comprising of Faiz Khan (B.A.LLB IX Sem) and Anjan Sahu (B.B.A LLB VIIISem) broke into the finals after five rounds of gruesome debating in the pre-lims defeating the likes of Lady Sri Ram College (Delhi University), Army Institute of Law, Mohali, HNUL etc., and Punjab Engineering College teams in the semi-finals.
The finals saw the team going up against the much celebrated team from IIT- Delhi. LCD team took the runner-up position in this competitive Asian Parliamentary Debate, adding one more feather to the cap of Uttaranchal University. LCD team ‘Three Proletarians’ lost with a close ratio of 4:3, allowing the IIT-Delhi team to be the winners.
