Uttaranchal College of Applied & Life Sciences (SALS) organized a Badminton Competition from 29th September, 2017 – 7th October, 2017 in Applied Science Block. The event was inaugurated by Hon’ble Chancellor Mr. Jitender Joshi, Vice Chancellor Prof.(Dr.) N.K.Joshi and Director-Student Affairs and IT Services Dr. Abhishek Joshi.
The Badminton Competition was organized in four categories – Boys-Singles & Doubles and Girls- Singles & Doubles. The decision regarding the Competing Teams was finalized by Prof.(Dr.) Ajay Singh through draw and hence scheduled accordingly. 32 boys and 16 girls participated in the event.
This sports event was organised and managed by Prof.(Dr.) Ajay Singh, Principal – SALS and the Sports Coordinators – Dr.Naveen Joshi & Mr Sanjay Kumar. Dr.Anuj Kumar & Mr Vinod Joshi also played an important role in the successful organisation of the event. Dr.Nardev Singh (Director- Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences), Dr.V.K.Srivastava, Dr.B.S.Rawat, Dr.Rohit Sharma, Dr.Poonam Negi, Dr Bharti Ramola, Dr.Shuchi Upadhyay and other faculty members and students were also present on the occasion.
