Uttaranchal Institute of Management organized “Website Designing Contest” on 2nd December, 2017. The objective of the event was to encourage the young minds to participate in academic activities resulting in their overall development, to provide a platform to develop and design websites and to develop the spirit of healthy competition.
The different areas of “Web Design” include “Web Graphic Design”, “Interface Design” and “Authoring” which further includes “Standardized Code”, “Proprietary Software”, “User Experience Design” and “Search Engine Optimization”.
Such competitions help the students in learning the application of new technologies in addition to their syllabi and develop qualities of leadership, sharing and team sprit among themselves.
The event was a grand success as 16 different teams participated in the event. Among those 16 teams, 9 teams were shortlisted for the presentation round. Further, on the basis of different parameters like presentation, usage of technology, design, and w3c validation, the winners and the runners-up were selected.
The Winners of the event were Vivek Kumar and Shubham Aswal (MCA, V Semester) and the Runners-up were Vishal Mehra and Somesh Gusain (BCA III A).
All the Winners and Runners-up were awarded the certificates.
