Admission for NRI/PIO/FNS
Uttaranchal University, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India welcomes the candidates whose parents have been given the status of Non-Resident Indians (NRI) or have acquired the status of Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) or are citizens of another country (FNS), to join its various programmes.
Note: Admission to all Programmes is direct and based on the merit computed from the marks/grade scored in the qualifying examination. Good knowledge of English is compulsory.

Documents to be submitted by NRI:
Photocopies of the following documents are to be submitted along with the admission form:
- NRI status certificate of the parent issued by the Indian Embassy of the respective country.
- NRI bank account passbook of the NRI parent.
- Valid Indian passport of the NRI parent
- Qualifying marks/ grade
- School Transfer Certificate/Migration Certificate
For Foreign National Category/PIO/FNS
- Passport copy of the candidate
- Valid student Visa/PIO/OCI card (in case of citizen of Indian origin)
- School Transfer Certificate/Migration Certificate
- Certificate showing that the candidate has proficiency in English language, English proficiency Certificate.
- Proof of financial support.
Note: If the candidate has completed his qualifying examination in a Non-Indian Public Examination System, the candidate must submit eligibility certificate from Association of Indian University (AIU/New Delhi/Indian Embassy in that country where the candidate has studied).
Selection Procedure: Selection of the NRI/PIO/FNS will be done on the basis of qualifying exam.
