Hon’ble Mr. Justice Madan Bhimarao Lokur, Judge – the Supreme Court of Fiji and Former Judge – The Supreme Court of India was born on 31st December, 1953. He graduated from Delhi University and enrolled as an Advocate-on-Record in the Supreme Court of India in the year 1981. During his entire tenure he served as the Standing Counsel for the Central Government, Additional Solicitor General of India, Additional Judge of Delhi High Court and Permanent Judge of Delhi High Court, Chief Justice of Delhi High Court and Andhra Pradesh High Court before being elevated as the Judge of the Supreme Court in the year 2012. He has a vast experience in Civil, Criminal, Constitutional, Revenue and Service Laws. His landmark judgements include Ashwani Kumar v. Union of India, Nipun Saxena v. Union of India, Rajendra Pralhadrao Wasnik v. State of Maharashtra etc.
Hon’ble Mr. Justice Madan Bhimarao Lokur visited Uttaranchal University as Keynote Speaker and delivered a lecture on ‘Constitution and Social Justice’ in “Law College Dehradun Lecture Series by Legal Luminaries” (LCDLSLL) organized by Law College Dehradun on 7th March, 2020.
