Bachelor of Pharmacy

As per the present curricula in India, a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree mainly prepares the candidates to work in the pharmaceutical industry, regulatory body, clinical research etc. The programme structure of the degree includes practical training in the pharmaceutical industry environment. A pharmacist having a B.Pharm. degree is also eligible to practice pharmacy in a community or hospital pharmacy as well as in teaching at D.Pharm. level.

Programme Duration: 4 Years
Eligibility:
  • 10+2 / equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects with Mathematics or Biology from any recognized board.
  • Minimum 50% marks or 45% in case of SC/ST category.

Lateral Entry: Passed D.Pharm. programme from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India under section 12 of the Pharmacy Act. The admission will be on the merit of D.Pharm. percentage.

Admission Procedure:
  • Admission is based on merit computed on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying examination. University also conducts interviews of all applicants before admitting the eligible candidates.
  • Out of the total intake, 40% seats are allotted to students of Uttarakhand under the State Quota and the rest are open to students from all over India. In case the allotted percentage of seats of State Quota remains vacant, it will be filled by All India students.
