The field of international business also explore the problems faced by multi-national corporations; their solutions and problems of the economic system at international level and at country level. The need of MBA- IB arises due to the changing environment of companies which are now focusing on global market. These companies require professionals to handle trading activities at international level by using their managerial skills and knowledge in this field.   

In view of the above, Uttaranchal University is offering MBA – International Business (IB) program explicitly for student who wish to make their career in international and global strategies in the area of business management.

After identifying the problems faced by firms dealing in international activities, Program MBA-International Business majorly focuses the importance of understanding the political, economic, social, technological, cultural, and legal environment; the process and system of importing and exporting; international dimensions of doing business which includes Licensing, franchising, joint ventures etc., and international accounting and international financial management. 

MBA – International Business comprises various courses such as international trade procedure and documentation, international marketing logistics, Multinational Financial Management, Export- Import Management, International Marketing Management, Cross-Cultural and Behaviour and Legal Dimensions of International Business.

The program is helpful in cultivating skills among the students which are useful in employment and also provides lifelong learning. The program also helps in developing skills to take managerial decisions in multiple business discipline across the globe. Career opportunities available for students after MBA- IB includes International Marketing Manager, International Product Manager, International Supply Chain Manager, International Finance Manager, International Brand Manager etc.

  • Graduation degree.
  • Minimum marks 50% for general category and 45% for SC/ST category with valid MAT/ CAT /CMAT / XAT/ UU Entrance Test Score/Percentile

Admission Procedure:
  • Admission is based on the merit, computed on the basis of score/percentile of MAT/ CAT /CMAT / XAT/ UU Entrance Test score or percentile/qualifying examination. University also conducts interviews of all applicants before admitting the eligible candidates.
  • Those awaiting graduation results can also apply.
  • Out of the total intake, 40% seats are allotted to students of Uttarakhand under the State Quota and the rest are open to students from all India. In case the allotted percentage of seats of State Quota remains vacant, it will be filled by All India students.
