A graduate in law having passed either LL.B. or any five-year law degree programme can opt for LL.M. Programme.
The programme is designed for serious minded students who are competent to pursue research-oriented study and have an inclination towards academics.

LL.M. degree prepares the students for a satisfying career in various branches of law, such as law officers, legal advisors and law professionals having independent set-up. LL.M. degree also qualifies a person for teaching in a law school and university. They can also take Judicial Service Examination and become judges. There is no dearth of career opportunities for LL.M. degree holders.

Eligibility:
  • Three years or Five years Degree in Law with minimum 50% marks in case of candidates from general category; 45% marks in the qualifying examination in case of SC/ST category.

Admission Procedure:
  • Admission is based on merit computed on the basis of marks secured in qualifying examination.
  • Out of the total intake, 40% seats are allotted to students of Uttarakhand under the State Quota and the rest are open to students from All India. In case the allotted percentage of seats of State Quota remains vacant, it will be filled by All India students.
