Establishment of the Centre
In compliance with the UGC Guidelines for the introduction of one year LL.M. Degree Program, the Centre of Post-Graduate Legal Studies (CPGLS) of Law College Dehradun, Uttaranchal University was established on 1st April 2013. With the establishment of the Centre the University changed over to the revised LL.M. One Year Degree Course from the Academic Year 2013-14.

Today the Centre has a well-equipped library with sufficient print as well as online material under its disposal. Almost all leading Law Journals of the country and a few foreign Law Journals are on the list of subscribed Journals of the library.

Aim and Objectives
The main aim of the Centre is to guide Postgraduate scholars including PhD scholars.

The Courses Being Run Under the Aegis of the Centre
The Centre is providing patronage to the LL.M. (One Year Program) as well as Ph.D. in Law being run by the University. The members of the centre inter alia provide help to review and evaluate the course curriculum of Law before it is submitted in the meeting of the internal Board of Studies or Board of Studies, as the case may be.

Composition
The Centre consists of a team of dedicated faculty members of the University. This team also works as the Academic Curriculum Committee of the college.
