Internship
Each student has to complete a minimum of 20 weeks of internship for the Five Years Integrated programme and 12 weeks for the Three Years programme during the entire period of study, provided that internship in any year cannot be for a continuous period of more than 4 weeks. The student may do their internship during winter and summer vacations.
Attendance
The student shall be required to put in a minimum attendance of 75% in the lectures of each of the subjects as also in the Moot Court Sessions and in Practicals in the courts.
Participation in Lok Adalat
As a part of training under internship, participation in Lok Adalat Proceedings is compulsory.
Legal Awareness Programme
LL.B Final Year students, B.A.LL.B and B.B.A LL.B. Final Year students have to organize Legal Awareness programme at Block Level. The participation of the Legal Panchayat Representative of the Block is invited. Issues concerning the working of Panchayats are discussed and Panchayat Members are educated about their duties and way of functioning.
Court Training
Final Year students of three years LL.B programme and Final Year students of five years B.A.LL.B and B.B.A LL.B. programme has to attend and observe the Trial Proceedings of 6 Civil Cases and 6 Criminal Cases in the court under the panel advocates of the University.
Continuous Assessment
Law College also conducts Sessional Examination for its students as preparation for University Examination. Taking Sessional Examination is compulsory for all students; the marks secured in these examinations are posted on the college notice board. The students not performing well in these examinations are made to attend remedial classes conducted by the faculty members appointed for the purpose.
Case Study
The Law Practicals are conducted by integrating classroom teaching with Case Study. Students have to visit the Local Courts to get exposure to real court situations. Preparing projects on cases or provisions of law is also part of the Programme curriculum and requires thorough research both on the secondary data resources and field investigation.
Presentation in Legal Camps organized at the local level is compulsory for all students. The aim of this exercise is to sharpen the research, analytical and communication skills of the students.
