Law College Dehradun organized an Intra-Collegiate Debate Competition in association with RTI Club, Dehradun on 26th September, 2017. Dr. Abhishek Joshi, Director-Student Affairs, Uttaranchal University was the Chief Guest on the occasion. The esteemed jury comprised of Dr. B.P. Maithani, President-RTI Club, Dr. Suchismita Sengupta Pande, Member Secretary-NFSA Commission, Uttarakhand & Mr. Yagya Bhusan Sharma, Secretary-RTI Club, Uttarakhand.
The topic of the bilingual debate was “Will Protection of Privacy Impact on Transparency and Accountability Obligations in Public Dealings?”
The winners of the event were Anushka Joshi, Neera Siman, Aprajita and Ananya Bhatt. The four winners will represent Law College Dehradun, Uttaranchal University in the final round of the prestigious RTI Debate to be conducted by RTI Club, Uttarakhand on 7th October, 2017.
