E-Cell of Uttaranchal Institute of Management, Uttaranchal University organized a Webinar on “TRADEMARK A NEED FOR STARTUPS” on 17th February 2022 at the virtual platform. This webinar aims at providing an appropriate knowledge about trademark because Trademark registration is important and necessary for a business in this global world.
Advocate Ankit Tyagi, Founder & Associates, Corporate & Legal Consultant and Trademark Attorney were the eminent speakers for the said webinar. Ms Neha Rastogi hosted the webinar for all Management and Computer Application students and welcomed all the dignitaries.
Prof (Dr) Pradeep Suri, Dean, UIM, Uttaranchal University discussed how Trademark has taken place in this modern world and how we can be distinctive in our products and services from our competitors. In doing so, we prevent rivals from copying or stealing our brands. He concluded his talk by saying that after getting a Trademark business attain more value in this global world.
Advocate Ankit Tyagi has started the session with the introduction of trademark and What is the value of a trademark in this day of globalization, and he went on to say that trademark protection can be gained by completing a trademark registration application with the national trademark office and paying the relevant fees. Trademark registration will confer an exclusive right to the use of the registered trademark. This means that the trademark can be used exclusively by the owner or licensed to another party for use in exchange for a fee, and that the trademark’s validity is limited to ten years. If you wish to keep the legal protection of your asset, you must renew it after that.He discussed the procedure of renewal of the trademark. Lastly, the Q&A session commenced, where the doubts from the attendees were entertained by Adv Ankit Tyagi, the session was enriching & gave insights about the different aspects of Trademarks.
At the end, Ms Neha Rastogi proposed a vote of thanks to all the dignitaries & students. The webinar turned out to be an interactive & informative with great success as it was attended by more than 915 Students from Management and Computer Application Department of Uttaranchal Institute of Management, Uttaranchal University.
