Uttaranchal Institute of Management(UIM), Uttaranchal University, Dehradun organized a one-day Webinar on ‘Artificial Intelligence’ on 28th August 2020. Head of Department (IT), Dr. Sonal Sharma welcomed the Guest speaker Dr. Gauri Jain, IBS Gurgaon. Dr. Sonal Sharma welcomed the students and thanked Director UIM, Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Suri for giving the opportunity to conduct the webinar.
The speaker of the day, Dr. Gauri Jain, Associate Professor, IBS Gurgaon, is an eminent speaker with a vast experience including research and academics. She has conducted various sessions for faculty and students of reputed colleges across the country. She has specialization in the area of deep learning and published numerous research papers in SCI/SCOPUS indexed journals.
The one-day webinar aimed at establishing a basic understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its allied techniques. The target audience comprised of all the final year IT students from BCA, BSC-IT and MCA programs.
The Keynote Speaker Dr. Gauri Jain emphasized on the significance of AI. Dr. Jain shared on how to start working with AI technologies. She shared the concepts of sentiment analysis that how the system interprets and analysis the text. Dr. Jain also shared the problems associated with AI. The session was interactive with question answers after the lecture.
Dr. Sonal Sharma concluded the event with a Vote of Thanks and extended her gratitude towards the Guest Speaker and students. The guest speaker congratulated the students on being highly participative, knowledgeable and an outstanding audience. The webinar was successfully conducted with the support of all the faculty members of the department and well participated by the students.
