Epiphany- The Reading Club of the School of Liberal Arts organised an educational trip to the Dehradun Literature Festival from 1-3 April 2022. Students of all the semesters of B A (Hons) English and all those who’ve opted for English as a subject could attend it. The buses taking the students to the venue of the festival were flagged off by Dr. Shravan Kumar, Dean School of Liberal Arts on 01 April 2022. The festival began with an inaugural address by Mr. Ganesh Joshi, State Cabinet Minister of Government of Uttarakhand. The evening witnessed two sessions: ‘Bachelor Dad’ which was a discussion on the book entitled the same by Tusshar Kapoor and another enthralling session on Indian folk music which hosted a conversation between Varun Gupta and Padmashree Malini Awasthi. Day 2 and 3 also brought forth a chance to witness and interact with some of the most renowned actors, filmmakers, authors and other artists such as Sonu Nigam, Prasoon Joshi, Seema Anand, Priya Malik, Tahira Kashyap, Preeti Shenoy, Richa Anirudh and many more. The students as well as teachers engaged in the festival with full gusto. The entire trip was coordinated by Dr Anubhuti Dhyani, the co-ordinator of the UU-ELTAI Reading Club.
