The NCC unit of Uttaranchal University conducted an enrollment drive for 29 UK battalion NCC, Dehradun on 20 September 2022. The University conducted a pre enrollment drive on 16 Sep 2022 where more than 300 students participated in the initial round, out of which 66 students were selected for the final selection. Mr Vikram Singh and Mr Kumar Karki came from 29 UK Battalion for the physical standards measurement of the students where they assessed the students on various parameters such as running timing, height, weight, push-ups and sit-ups. Finally, 6 girls and 11 boys were selected.
On this occasion, Prof (Dr) Rajesh Bahuguna appreciated the efforts of the students and offered his best wishes to the selected students. Chancellor Shri Jitender Joshi applauded the students for taking interest in NCC enrollment and mentioned that NCC is the best platform for the students as it gives them a great opportunity for their overall growth at the same time instilling in them moral values, a feeling of responsibility, and other virtues that will help them to become successful leaders and good citizens. Rakesh Semwal NCC Coordinator, Mr Sarweswar Prasad NCC instructor, and Mr Anuj Kumar were also present.
