A workshop was organised by the Division of Research & Innovation to identify and undertake multidisciplinary research in the area of aerospace and drone technology. While addressing the audience Dr Vikas Kumar, Chairman, Aeronautical Research & Development, Hyderabad stressed on developing the indigenous technology for defence to make the India “Aatm Nirbhar”.
The workshop was inaugurated by Chancellor Shri Jitendra Joshi, Dr Vikas Kumar, Chairman, Aeronautical Research & Development, Vice-Chancellor, Prof (Dr) Dharam Buddhi, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof (Dr) Rajesh Bahuguna and Director, Research & Innovation, Prof (Dr) Rajesh Singh. The event was hosted by Prof Anita Gehlot.
The Chancellor, Shri Jitender Joshi congratulated the team for taking a new initiative in the thrust area of research. The Vice-Chancellor announced the establishment of a centre of excellence in defence technology and requested Dr Vikas Kumar to be the advisor of the CoE. Dean, UIT, Prof (Dr) S D Pandey, Dean, SoA, Prof M P Singh, HoDs and faculty members from the pharmacy, sciences, engineering and agriculture were present in the event.
