Uttaranchal University adopts a School in Selaqui, Dehradun to provide Quality Education for the underprivileged children

Uttaranchal University is one of the few Universities in India that has adopted a school under its Social Responsibility Initiative Program. The idea of adopting a school for underprivileged children was conceptualized by the Hon’ble Chancellor of Uttaranchal University, Shri Jitender Joshi, who always has been keen to facilitate the all-round socio-economic development of the children by providing them with education, healthcare, and other basic facilities. Uttaranchal University is committed to contributing significantly to the underprivileged children of the country.

Under this program, the University will be providing all infrastructure facilities to the “Pandit Shri Sureshanand Joshi Sarawati Shishu Mandir ” School in Selaqui, Dehradun Uttarakhand. The school is affiliated to Uttarakhand Board and provides education from Grade I to XII. It has an enrollment of more than 650+ students from nearby villages. The Hon’ble Chancellor, Sri Jitender Joshi visits the school every month and monitors the progress of the students. He interacts with them and creates a healthy environment for all.
