Uttaranchal Institute of Management organizes ‘Live Budget Session 2021-2022’

Finance Club of Uttaranchal Institute of Management, Uttaranchal University organized a ‘Live Budget Session’ on1st February, 2021 for the First Year Students. The event emphasized on making students aware about the Budget presented by Finance minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, who presented the Union Budget 2021-2022 for the third time.

Dr. Ashulekha Gupta (Associate Professor-UIM) addressed the audience about session and enlightened about the Union Budget. She invited Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Suri for sharing his views on the subject. He also explained the significance of Union Budget in the wake ongoing issues in our economy. He also advised students to pay more focus on major key points like Fiscal Deficit, Direct Tax, Indirect Tax, Government Expenditure, GST, Tax Concession on Housing Loan, Ongoing Farmer Protest and Concession given to farmer.

Dr. Amitabh Bhargava (HOD-Management) also graced the event with his benign presence and encouraged the students to participate with zest while also making them ready to face the challenges in future.

150 students joined the event with their enthusiastic participation. The event was successfully executed by Mrs. Neeti Misra (Head – Finance Club), Mr. Abhishek Pathak (Head- Cultural Committee- UIM), Ms. Shailee Parmar (Co-Head Cultural Committee, Dr Shagun Tyagi (Member – Finance Club).

The event was successful in its aim to make students aware about the Union Budget 2021-2022 and the relevance of it in current scenario.
