The Marketing Club of Uttaranchal Institute of Management ‘Srujana’ organized an exciting event entitled ‘Brand Failure Canvassing’ on 12th April, 2018. The event was graced by the presence of Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Suri (Director – UIM), Dr. D.S. Choubey (Dean – Research & Studies), Dr. Sonal Sharma (Head-Department of IT) along with other faculty members.

The jury for the event comprised of Dr. S.M. Mariyam Fatima (Head-Department of Management) and Mr. Ravindra Singh Rawat (Assistant Professor, UIM).

The event was organized by Mr. Shivendra Chaudhary (Head – Marketing Club), Ms. Usha Patel (Member – Marketing Club) and Ms. Shailee Parmar (Member – Marketing Club).

The event ‘Brand Failure Canvassing’ was based on the identification of a brand/product which had failed or is almost failing in the market. After researching on the possible reasons for its failure, the teams had to present the brand failure reasons to the eminent judges through a Power Point Presentation.

The teams were given the liberty to choose their own products/services for the round entitled ‘Brand Health Check-up’. The basic idea behind letting them choose the brand/product of their choice was to make them acquainted and comfortable in presenting the facts and figures along with the relevant content to establish the failure of the brand/product chosen.

Total eleven teams participated in the event. Three teams were announced winners on the basis of their performance in the activity.
