Uttaranchal Institute of Management, Uttaranchal University, organized a Guest Lecture on ‘Investment and Funding Tactics’ on 4th February, 2020 for the students pursuing MBA, B.Com. (Honours) and BBA programmes.
The Resource Person of the event was Mr. Anubhav Kandpal, a specialist in Financial Markets and a Financial Transformation Coach by profession. He was accompanied by Mrs. Soumya Kala.
The event commenced with the felicitation of Mr. Anubhav Kandpal by Dr. Pradeep Suri (Director-UIM). The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Anshul Sharma (HOD-Management) and Dr. Sonal Sharma (HOD-IT). Master of Ceremony and Head of Finance Club Ms. Neeti Misra welcomed the dignitaries and Faculty Members along with all the students. She further elaborated on the basic aspects of investment and their role in portfolio analysis.
Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Suri delivered the Inaugural Address and highlighted the significance of investments as a practice for not just a firm but every individual in his/her life as a means to effectively use money to build money. Besides aiming to achieve the objective of creating an interest in students Dr. Suri reiterated on the relevance of Investment as a crucial subject in the professional domain of Financial Studies.
After the Inaugural Address Mr. Anubhav Kandpal took charge of the entire event and overwhelmingly interacted with students in order to create a spark in them and bring them on the deck to learn through a participative mode. Mr. Kandpal vehemently emphasized on the pragmatic necessities of investments and the implications of the concept. He began his session with ascertaining certain tricks-of-the-trade like identifying the purpose first, allocating money at the right place and right time for generating wealth and the like. He gave a brief idea about Stock Market thereby clearing the conceptual complexities that prevailed in the students before this informative session. Mr. Kandpal ended his session by exemplifying his content on stock market and its technical aspects by highlighting some companies which are exceptionally good performers while few firms which were not being able to achieve in context of the existing stock market.
The event successfully concluded with Vote of Thanks proposed by Dr. Anshul Sharma.
