A Fourteen-Day Faculty Development Programme on ‘Advance Research Methodology & Modeling Techniques’ was organized by Uttaranchal Institute of Management from 20 May to 04 June, 2020.
The FDP was inaugurated on 20th May, 2020 by Hon’ble Chancellor Shri. Jitender Joshi and was attended by Vice Chancellor (Officiating) Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Bahuguna, Director-UIM, Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Suri along with faculty members of UIM and faculty members & research scholars from different Universities and Institutes.
Mr. Shivendra Choudhary was the Master of Ceremony. The program began with the felicitation of Hon’ble Chancellor by Vice Chancellor (Officiating) Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Bahuguna. Thereafter, the dignitaries were invited to light the auspicious lamp followed by the recital of the University Kulgeet.
In his address Hon’ble Chancellor welcomed all the participants and emphasized upon the need of such programmes for the over-all growth of faculty members and expressed his conviction that such programmes add value to their stature.
Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Suri addressed the audience regarding the significance of such FDPs and explained how they can help the faculty members in their growth ultimately leading to institutional development. He emphasized that research orientation is a pre-requisite for their personal advancement.
Varied aspects of Research Methodology and Modeling Techniques were covered by Resource Person, Dr. Ashulekha Gupta and Dr. Babita Rawat.
In the valedictory session, Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Bahuhuna, Officiating Vice-Chancellor spoke at length about the need to conduct such programmes frequently for skill enhancement and updating of the faculty so that they can guide the students effectively. Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Suri proposed Vote of Thanks towards all for their active participation in the programme.
