Uttaranchal Institute of Management, organized a face painting Competition on the occasion of ‘Women’s Day’ on 10th March 2022

Under the aegis of Women Cell, Uttaranchal Institute of Management, organized a face painting Competition on the occasion of ‘Women’s Day’ on 10^th March 2022. The students of various programmes of UIM enthusiastically participated in the event.

The event started with the address of Dean, UIM Prof (Dr) Pradeep Suri who motivated and appreciated the efforts of the students and encouraged them for participating in such literary events in future. Dr Deepa Bisht, Head, Women Cell welcomed and introduced the dignitaries to everyone and briefed everyone about the activity.

The students came up with a theme of women empowerment to be showcased through the idea of face painting on the occasion of “Women’s Day”. Students were judged on the parameters like overall appearance/ clarity of message conveyed, cleanliness, colour combination, creativity/ new ideas and presentation.

The young artists enthralled the audience with their Colourful faces and artistic perspectives like Karamjeet and Dhruv from B Com 1^st year portrayed the Love of a Mother, a house maker whose heart is full of patience sacrifice and glory and the same were displayed through the hues of saffron white and yellow. Likewise Iti Singh and Arti Mehra came up with the concept- “Expirate” that the roots of the society gives birth to either a rotten or a blooming flower, hence the roots shall be watered with the potion of gender equality.

Dr Deepa Bisht proposed the vote of thanks. The event was a success and was attended by HoD, Management Dr Megha Aggarwal, HoD, Computer Applications Dr Sonal Sharma, HoD, Hotel Management Mr Manish Badoni,  Cultural & Academic Event Head Mr Abhishek Kumar Pathak along with other faculty members including Dr Deepti Sharma, Dr Tarunpreet Kaur Ahuja, Ms Sanyukta Chhibber, Mr Sanjay Singh Chauhan, Dr Shalini Aggarwal  and students of UIM.
