Uttaranchal Institute of Management organized a Guest Lecture on ‘Goal Setting and Wealth Management’ for the First Year students of BBA and MBA on September 19, 2019. Mr. Bhanu Pratap Singh, a renowned name in the areas of Profile Orientation, Goal Setting and Wealth Management, was the Expert Speaker. Mr. Singh is a Chartered Wealth Manager with qualifications that include CFPCMA and MBA to name a few. He has a rich experience in Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, Soft Skills Training and so on. He has also authored a famous book on ‘Time Value of Money’.
Mr. Singh emphasised upon the need of Profile Orientation and Goal Setting for the students and showcased, with practical examples, how crucial it was for a student for securing a good job in these times of tough competition.
He further talked about Wealth Management with the example of Warren Buffet who started saving and investing money when he was just 11 years of age. It is easy to spend money, but difficult to accumulate wealth. For this purpose one has to be very selective in his saving habits and very particular in his investments. A person needs the help of financial experts all the time for creating wealth. Some institutes run courses on Wealth Management which have been professionally designed and they help a novice to become an expert in the field. They provide guidelines on saving money and investing it rightly. He also welcomed queries from the students and responded to them with apt professionalism. The students were delighted to have received words of wisdom on the subject.
