Uttaranchal Institute of Management organizes “VIGYAPAN – the Ad Mad Show”

‘SRUJANA’, The Marketing Club of Uttaranchal Institute of Management organized ‘VIGYAPAN – the Ad Mad Show’ on 2nd December, 2017. The event was graced by the presence of Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Suri, Director-UIM. The jury for the event comprised of Mr. N.C. Uniyal, Chief Librarian- Uttaranchal University, Dr D.S. Choubey , Dean-Research and Dr. Sideswar Patra, Assistant Professor, UIM.

The event was organized by the Marketing Club Team led by Mr. Shivendra Chaudhary, Head- Marketing Club.

The theme of ‘VIGYAPAN – the Ad Mad Show’ was based on the technicalities of ad making (including choice of non-existent product/service, unique selling proposition of their product/service, target customer segments, theme and appeal of the ad, etc), creativity, out-of-the-box thinking, team effort, stage presence and time limit.

Teams were given the liberty to choose their own products/services for the First Round. The basic idea behind letting them choose product/service of their choice was to get them acquainted and comfortable with the idea of Ad Making and to incorporate the technicalities of the Ad. The Teams choose various products/services like herbal deodorants, herbal toothpaste, smart watches, soda, smart wallets, to name a few. In the First Round the participants introduced their products and other technicalities incorporated in their ads.

The short listed teams were allowed to showcase their ads in the next round. A common product was given to all the teams which was ‘Salty & Spicy Chocolate’. The teams used the same format, as discussed above, to showcase their advertisement on the given product.
