The Knowledge Sharing Series reached its 8 session on 23 March 2022. The session was organized in room number 210, SLA at 4:00 pm. The speaker of this session was Anamika Thapa. Dr Pinki Chugh, coordinator KSS welcomed the audience and invited the speaker for knowledge sharing.

Ms Anamika Thapa discussed the Theory of Minimalism. She said that the concept of minimalism is about minimizing our requirements for achieving simplicity and mental peace. A minimalist lifestyle involves living with fewer resources whether in terms of a house or possession. It is a part of the thought process how a person chooses to live with all the minimal things in life and yet be satisfied. A minimalist lifestyle is by no means a radical lifestyle but rather an optimal one.

She further added that it’s high time to take a U-turn and return to our initial ways of living when human desires had not seen these boundless skies. The session was very useful and it evoked the audience to debate. Mr Ankur Sharma was of the opinion that it’s a tough challenge to bring the new generation back on those tracks. Mr Jagheshwar added that the crux of the theory is adjustment with acceptance of the present without grudges. Dr Pinki Chugh was of the opinion that we should live detached in this world, that is real singleness. Dr Shravan Kumar, Dean-SLA threw light on the concept of ‘I and Body.’ He said that our I and our body are two different things and all we need to do is to learn how to establish harmony between both to get the best of everything.

Overall, the session was indeed interactive. The session ended with a vote of thanks proposed by the coordinator.
