School of Liberal Arts remembers the Shaheed Diwas

“It is the cause, not the death, that makes the martyr.”

March 23rd every year is observed as Shaheed Diwas to mark the death anniversary of Indian freedom fighters Bhagat Singh, Shivaram Rajguru, and Sukhdev Thapar.

Zenith-The Literary Club, School of Liberal Arts organized a Panel Discussion to commemorate the glorious sacrifices of the martyrs of the day. The event was organised at virtual mode. Ms Samridhi Kandpal, President, Literary Club welcomed the audience ceremoniously. The discussion was initiated by the club members, Pradeep Pal, Ali and Smriti. All the faculty members of the School of Liberal Arts participated in the program. Dr Anubhuti Dhyani also shared her views on the importance of sacrifices when made selflessly. Dr Santosh Singh and Ms Anamika Thapa also contributed to the discussion. Dr Shravan Kumar, Dean, SLA recited a few self-composed couplets and created a poetic environment. He also appreciated the students who had planned and organised the event so meticulously. Dr Pinki Chugh, Convener Literary Club proposed the vote of thanks. The event came to a close with shout-outs of the freedom struggle slogans, ‘Inquilab Zindabad’ and ‘Long live the revolution.
