School of Liberal Arts participated in Live Interactive Session with India’s Most Beloved Author Ruskin Bond through an educational visit conducted on 17th January, 2020. The event was organized by Rupa Publications India, Aleph Book Company and WIC India Dehradun in WIC Dehradun. The students from numerous schools and colleges attended the event.
The Director of WIC Ms. Nazia Yusuf Izuddin interviewed the celebrated author. Mr. Ruskin Bond charmed the audience with his witty and humorous replies. From sumo wrestling to superheroes and from poetry to ghost stories, the man talked about it all. He talked about his love for Dehradun and jalebis, his struggles in his career along with words of wisdom for all the budding talents in the room. He also talked about his recent book ‘Rhododendrons in the Mist’ and shared numerous episodes of his life that inspired in writing not only this but some of his bestsellers. The event reached its conclusion with him signing his books.
It was truly an enchanting evening filled with love for nature and sage-like wisdom of Mr. Bond.
