School of Applied and Life Sciences organizes JAM, Poetry Recitation and Debate Competition.

Under the aegis of Creations Club of Cultural Committee, Uttaranchal University the Cultural Committee of SALS organized three events, namely, Just a minute, Poetry Recitation (with action) and Debate Competition on 23rd October, 2019. The students of various Departments of SALS enthusiastically participated in all the events.

Dr. Ajay Singh, Principal-SALS, appreciated the Cultural Committee Members and the Student Coordinators for organizing literary events which benefit the students by improving their communication and presentation skills.

JAM Session was thoroughly enjoyed by one and all. The students were asked to pick a chit in which the topic for extempore was written. They spoke about topics given to them, like, ‘School Time Memories’, ‘If I Could Change Time’, ‘Corruption in India’, ‘Importance of Communication Skills’, to mention a few.

Maximum participation was seen in Poetry Recitation Competition. The students recited their own poetic creations with actions. Their poems touched almost every aspect of life.

The topic of Debate Competition was ‘Abolition of Article 370 is justified or not.’ The students spoke for and against the abolition of Article 370 with great conviction.
