School of Applied and Life Sciences organizes a Power Point Presentation Competition on “Control World Hunger with Processed Food”

Foodtech Club, Department of Food Technology School of Applied and Life Sciences, organized a Power Point Presentation Competition on the topic “Control World Hunger with Processed Food” on 16th October, 2019.

The event started with Welcome Note delivered by Dr. Shuchi Upadhyay (Head – Department of Food Technology) who conceptualized and organized the event.

Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Singh (Principal – SALS), in his speech, appreciated the effort and motivated the Department to organize more events aimed towards enhancement of communication skills and analytical skills of the students. He opined that students should be involved, through discussions and activities, in tackling social issues around the globe.

16 participants from the Departments of Biotechnology and Food Technology participated in the event.

The event was coordinated by Ms. Nitika Rathi and Dr. Shilpa Sharma along with the Student Coordinators of Foodtech Club.

Dr. Bharti Ramola, Dr. Poonam Negi, Dr.Bindu Naik, Dr. Shilpa Sharma, Mr. Rajeev Kumar, Mr. Prateek Gururani along with a large number of students were present to boost the moral of the participants.

The event was anchored by Mehak and Shashank and the Student Volunteers of the event were Karan and Ritesh.

The winners of the Competition were:

1st Prize : Ms Joyti Joshi (M.Sc. Food Technology 3rd Semester)
1st Runner up : Riya Thapa and Jaya Kharkwal (B.Sc. Food technology 3rd Semester)
2nd Runner up : Niharika (M.Sc. Food Technology 1st Semester)
