School of Agriculture celebrated Teacher’s Day

On 5th September 2021, School of Agriculture celebrated Teacher’s Day to remember Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the second President of India, first Vice-President of India, and a great academician. Since 1962, his birthday has been celebrated in India as Teachers’ Day, every year. On this day, words and inspirational sayings by Radhakrishnan are remembered, and students honour their teachers, arranging different events and making them feel special. So to carry this excitement of students and teachers the day was celebrated on the ground floor of Agriculture.

There were songs, poetries, jokes, dances and many others presented by teachers and students. The day witnessed a strong and special bond between teachers and their students. Prof (Dr) M P Singh, Dean SOA, Dr Rajendra Prasad, HoD, SOA and other faculty members witnessed the event which was fully organized and planned by students. Various small activities were enlisted by the students for teachers. Teachers were told to pick a slip randomly and the hidden activity they had to do. It was really a light environment for everyone. There was a gift distribution among the faculty members by the students. Everyone witnessed a strong bond between teachers and students. Dean and HoD, SOA appreciated the event and praised the students for such a beautiful and memorable day.
