Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Uttaranchal University under the “Guard of Green Club” organised a poster-making competition on Earth Day, 22 April 2022. The theme for the poster presentation was “Invest in Our Planet”. The purpose of organizing the event was to spread awareness about saving our planet and how important is the environment to us.
The participants were provided with proper poster guidelines. Students displayed their artistic skills through an array of posters. A total of 54 students participated in the event. The First prize was bagged by Ishita Negi of B Pharm IV Semester while the Second prize was won by Santripati Thapa, Sanjeev Kumar B Pharm II semester and the Third prize by Amanat Ali, Sheetal Bisht of D Pharm II Year. Certificates were also distributed to participants. The competition was judged by the jury members.
The competition was conceptualized and conducted under the guidance of UIPS Dean Prof (Dr) Vikash Jakhmola appreciated the efforts of the students in highlighting the various environmental issues and ways to combat them. The event was coordinated by Dr Tarun Parashar, Associate Professor, and Mr Praveen Semwal, Lecturer, UIPS Faculty coordinators of “Guards of Green Club” with Ritesh Jha, Vikrant and Utkarsh Trivedi as the club student members. A vote of thanks was proposed by Student coordinator Rakshit Gupta.
