Department of Mechanical Engineering, Uttaranchal University, organized “Assembly- Disassembly” event along with the Inauguration of Mechanical Engineers Club on 22nd February, 2019 in the presence of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) N.K.Joshi, Chairman of the Club Mr. S.K.Joshi, Founder Mr. Avnish Kumar, Co-Founder Dr. Shushant Singh and Faculty Members of Mechanical Engineering Department.
The Club aims to provide a professional environment to the students and encourage them to indulge in extracurricular and technical activities. The Club consists of five core members with Mr. Parv Jha (M.E. 3rd Year) as President, Satyam Anand (M.E. 2nd Year) as Vice President, Kuldeep Negi and Kuldeep Rawat (M.E. 2nd Year) as Joint Secretary and Gurvinder Singh (M.E. 2nd Year) as Treasurer. The Club will be organizing numerous events on behalf of the Department of Mechanical Engineering and will provide opportunities to the students in various aspects of Designing, Technical Aspect and Communication.
The ‘Assembly-Disassembly’ event consisted of three rounds. Round First was completely non-technical and was conducted with the help of PowerPoint Presentation. 20 teams appeared in 1st round and 8 were selected for second round. Round 2 was Gear Assembly Round which was time based round in which the fastest team to assemble the provided Gear Setup qualified for Round Three. 4 teams made it to Round 3 in which they had to assemble a model of Carburetor. The Carburetor was disassembled in front of them in order to show them how it is done. The participants had to assemble if following the correct order. The event came to an end with the announcement of Winners. Cash prizes were given to the winners by Mr Avnish Kumar, Asst. Prof. [ME].
