Law College Dehradun, Faculty of Uttaranchal University, came up with its 5th edition of Srijan-5.0 on September 24, 2021, under the aegis of Moot Court Society of Law College Dehradun. Srijan-5.0 a Legal Discussion Forum, on the topic “Informational Privacy: An Invasion of Moral Autonomy & Human Dignity”.
The event commenced with the opening address of Prof (Dr) Rajesh Bahuguna, Officiating Vice-Chancellor of Uttaranchal University, Dean Law College, Dehradun, and Patron of the Moot Court Society. Mr Rajat Gaur, President, MCS officially declared the discussion open. The discussion was moderated by Ms Shaktija Singh Baghel along with Mr Akash Sharma. The discussion was divided into three phases. In the first phase, each panelist was given 2 minutes to put forth their opening statement. In the second phase, the panelists counter questioned each other. In the third phase, the audience indulged in the discussion along with the panelists. The participants of the discussion were divided into three categories- The participants who spoke in favour of the topic, the participants who spoke against the topic, and the participants having a balanced point of view.
The discussion concluded with certain suggestive points and words of appreciation by Prof (Dr) Bahuguna to the panelists as well as the spectators. In the end, Ms Shreyanshi Tripathi, Vice-President, MCS, delivered the vote of thanks and the event was well moderated by Ms Gargee Mishra.
