Law College Dehradun, Faculty of Uttaranchal University organized a training session “Connaître” exclusively for the students of LCD under the aegis of Youth Parliament Society (YPS) on 16 February 2022. The main aim of the program was to make students aware of the tactics, procedures, and simulations of MUNs and YPs. The program was conducted in two-pronged sessions which received registration of over 215 students.
Ø SESSION 1:
The first session of Connaître was held from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM for the explanation of the procedure of YOUTH PARLIAMENT which was done exceptionally well. The moderator for the session was Ms Shreya Bhushan and our speaker was Mr. Shubham Mishra who threw light on the importance, purposes, functioning, procedures, and importance of doing Youth Parliaments. The session was further deepened, by them telling the students about the simulation and segments of YPs.
Ø SESSION 2:
The second session was conducted from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM. The moderator for the session was Mr Shikhar Nidhi and our speakers were Ms Aarushi Singh and Ms Ritim Mangla who explained the fundamentals and procedures of MODEL UNITED NATIONS and improvised the students about the working and nuances of MUNs. The speakers with the help of a PPT explained every sphere and plan of working of a MUN.
The sessions were conducted smoothly and the queries were taken up at the end of each of the sessions. The active participation of the students and the enthusiastic approach toward learning made this a successful event. The main aim of the event was to enhance the research skills, on-spot answer formulating, and decision-making ability of the students.
