Law College Dehradun, Faculty of Uttaranchal University under the joint aegis of Legal Aid Centre and National Cadet Corps celebrated Kargil Vijay Diwas on 26th July 2022. This day is to mark the victory of India over Pakistan in the famous Kargil war. The day honours the Kargil war heroes and the sacrifices made by them.
The event commenced with the arrival of Hon’ble Chancellor Shri Jitender Joshi and the Vice-Chancellor Prof (Dr) Dharam Buddhi at the Shaurya Diwar escorted by the NCC Cadets. It was followed by the address of the Pro Vice-Chancellor and Dean Law College, Prof (Dr) Rajesh Bahuguna who averred about various Kargil heroes and reminded of their braveness, courage, and nationalistic mindset. Various slogans of the Kargil heroes were also chanted by the students and the faculty members. The event culminated with Shradhanjali on the Shahid Smarak by the Chancellor, the Vice-Chancellor, followed by the faculty members and the students. The memorable event was witnessed by the students and faculty members of Uttaranchal University.
