Law College Dehradun, Faculty of Uttaranchal University under the aegis of Cultural Society (LCDCS) conducted an Intramural Dramatics & Open Mic Competition “EXPRESSO” on 4 April 2022 at the Swami Vivekananda Auditorium. This was a maiden event of coming forth with Dramatics and Open mic themes and the registrations commenced from 25 March 2022 to 30 March 2022.
The screening Round was conducted by the judges Mrs Ravneet Kaur, Chairperson LCDCS, Dr Vibha, Assistant Professor, Mr Hitesh Bhatt, Assistant Professor. The Final Round of the “Expresso” was held on 4 April 2022 and 11 participants were selected for the final battle (4 participants for the poetry category, 4 for the Monologue category, and 3 for Stand Up category).
The Final ceremony was blessed with the presence of Dr Abhishek Joshi, Directors Student Affairs & IT Services, Prof (Dr) Rajesh Bahuguna, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Uttaranchal University and Dean Law College Dehradun & Patron, Cultural Society, Law College Dehradun, Dr Poonam Rawat, HoD, Law College Dehradun, and Prof (Dr) Bharti Ramola, Chairperson Cultural and Event Committee, Uttaranchal University.
The Judges for the Final Round were Prof (Dr) Bharti Ramola, Chairperson Cultural and Event Committee at Uttaranchal University, Mrs Jyoti Gulati, Mr Sushant. After going through a tough process of adjudication, the following students were the winners of different categories:
- Nandini Singh – Poetry
- Rijul Goel – Monologue
- Krishna – Stand Up
The Runner up of “Expresso” were:
- Krishna – Poetry
- Ayush Chauhan – Monologue
- Harsh Vardhan – Stand Up
All the merit holders were felicitated by Dr Abhishek Joshi (Directors Student Affairs & IT Services), Prof (Dr) Rajesh Bahuguna and other dignitaries on the dais. At last, the event was concluded with the vote of thanks that was proposed by Mr Naitik Bhatt, President LCDCS & Uttaranchal University, Cultural Event Committee.
