Industrial Visit to Aanchal Dairy, Dehradun on 25 February 2015

Department of Food Technology and Chemistry, UIT organized an Industrial Tour on 25th Feb, 2015. Students of Food Technology and Chemistry visit Aanchal Dairy Dugdh Upadak, Raipur Road, Dehradun. Industrial Visits are important for acquiring practical knowledge of professional courses.

In this Industrial Visit, students were able to understand the concept of pasteurization, processing and packaging. The students also gathered valuable information about the different aspects of cheese processing and preparation. The students gained the knowledge about collection, storage, processing and packaging section of milk.

It was a great exposure for UG students to become familiar with cheese making, milk processing and packaging Industry. They learned about the role of a Dairy Plant in the economic growth of India.

The visit was conceptualized by Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Singh, Head – Applied Sciences. The Tour was organized under the guidance of Mr. Sanjay Kumar. The tour was conducted & co-ordinated by Dr. Waseem Ahamd who also accompanied the students. Approximately 33 students of Food Technology and Chemistry Department were visited the industry.
