Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Uttaranchal University organized a Panel Discussion on ‘Entrepreneurship and Start-up’ on 5th May, 2018 in association with FICCI, FLO, Uttarakhand.
The event was inaugurated by Hon’ble Chancellor Shri Jitender Joshi, Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) N.K. Joshi, Chairperson – Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (Uttaranchal University) Dr. Vandana Joshi along with Members of FICCI and Office- Bearers by lighting the auspicious lamp.
In his Inaugural Address Prof. (Dr.) N.K. Joshi enlightened the audience regarding the objectives and work plan of the newly formed center and encouraged the students to generate innovative ideas leading to the establishment of their own start-ups. He further informed that the University will provide a financial aid of Rs 50,000 to 10 Best Business Plans.
Dr. Vandana Joshi introduced the esteemed panelists and advised the students to utilize the opportunity to the fullest.
Ms. Shilpi Arora (Chairperson – FICCI, FLO, Uttarakhand) shared her experiences regarding Brand Establishment. Mr. Harshit Mehta (Start –up Expert) spoke on ‘Ecosystem of Start-up’. Ms. Puja Aggarwal discussed the Financial Planning of a Start-up. Ms. Sarika Panchi explained the difference between an entrepreneur and a CEO. Ms. Anupuma Khanna (Treasurer – FICCI, FLO) spoke on ‘How to become an Entrepreneur?’ Last, but not the least, Ms. Komal Batra discussed ‘Stress Management in Start-up phase’.
The day also witnessed the inauguration of the newly established ‘Incubation Center’ by all the esteemed dignitaries. The Center comprises of 18 workplaces for office establishment of the selected Start-up Companies. On this occasion Dr. Vandana Joshi announced that 5 ideas chosen by Mr. Harshit Mehta will be given a financial aid of Rs. 2 Lakhs for its incubation. She also announced the consideration of financial aid of upto 10 Lakhs for future requirements.
The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms. Anu Sayal. The Deans, Directors, Principals, Head of the Departments, Faculty Members and students of all the constituent colleges of Uttaranchal University were present on the occasion.
