The Faculty Members of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Uttaranchal University attended a one-day Seminar on “Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning” organized by ISHRAE Dehradun Chapter on 27th April, 2018. The Seminar was attended by Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Joshi (Head – Department of Mechanical Engineering), Mr. Saurabh Aggarwal (Assistant Professor – ME), Mr. Ravi Batra (Assistant Professor – ME) and Mr. Vivek John (Assistant Professor – ME).
The objective of the Seminar was to participate in and organize activities intended towards protection of the environment, improvement of indoor air quality, contributing in energy conservation, provision of Continuing Education to the members and others in HVAC & related user Industries and offering Certification Programs & career guidance to students in local colleges and tertiary institutions.
About ISHRAE:
The Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE) was established to promote the HVAC Industry in India. ISHRAE is an associate of ASHRAE. ISHRAE was started in Delhi in 1981 and a Chapter was started in Bangalore in 1989. Between 1989 & 1993, ISHRAE Chapters were formed in all the major cities of India and also in the Middle East.

Education & Training @ ISHRAE:
IIE, the educational arm of the Society, is working towards human resource development in the HVAC&R Industry in the country by conducting various courses. One of the most important objectives of ISHRAE is conducting Training Programs & this is attempted at various levels. Right at the apex of the pyramid we have the ICP Certification Courses on Clean rooms AC-Design, AC Service and others. At the next level ISHRAE offers a 4-month full time Diploma Course for graduate engineers. In addition at Chapter level ISHRAE holds several successful Training Programs, Workshops, Short Term Courses, e-Learning Opportunities & Product Presentations.
