Educational Visit To Survey Of India

An educational and local visit was organized by School of Applied and life sciences on 1st October 2021 for all Applied and Life Sciences BSc. 1st semester students to Survey of India Dehradun, Pacific Mall, and nearby area of Rajpur road. For the smooth conductions of visit all the 80 students were divided into two groups of 40-45 students. Visit was coordinated by 6 faculty members under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Ajay Singh, Dean and Principal (Applied and Life sciences) each department. The main objective of this visit was to create awareness of young minds about the local area of Dehradun as well as provide the inside knowledge of survey and mapping tools, from a very beginning to resent and advance tools.

Mr. Arun Kumar officer surveyor (I/C, Lib & Survey Museum) communicated with students directly to share all those information, which are used by previous researcher and developer. All the students expressed their gratitude towards him for providing them a lifelong learning experience. As a part of fun activity in orientation program, students were also taken to Dehradun well-known mall (Pacific), where students get relaxed and also enjoyed their food and shopping. Overall, this visit is so successful to all the students, to get them comfortable in new city and new environment with full of positive attitude.
