Department of Mechanical Engineering organized a one-day Seminar on “Recent Advances in Mechanical Engineering” on 6th December, 2017. The event focused on the latest technologies that are being invented for the advancement of technology. Prof. (Dr.) B. Lonia, Dean- Uttaranchal Institute of Technology graced the event with his presence.
The program started with the motivating speech of Prof. (Dr.) B. Lonia who encouraged and motivated the students for their future and shared his valuable life experiences with them. More than 20 students of B.Tech. (Mechanical Engineering) II& III Year participated in the Seminar and spoke on various new trends like Blue Eyes Technology, which aims at creating computational machines that have perceptual and sensory ability like those of human beings, some other technologies discussed were Formula One Race Cars Aerodynamics, Hybrid Vehicles, 3-D Printing Technology, Nano-Technology, and F1 Braking System. These technologies were quite new for the audience and they learned a lot regarding new advancements. This Seminar intended to enrich students’ understanding about recent advances in Mechanical Engineering.
The program concluded with the words of wisdom delivered by Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Joshi, Head- Department of Mechanical Engineering. The Program was successfully organized by the Faculty Coordinator Ms. Shivani Pande, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, with the help of student volunteers.
