About the Program:

M.Sc. Physics is enriched with the core subjects, seminar, elective papers and dissertation.In this program, student gains knowledge about various topics associated with the concepts of Computer Science and Programming, Optoelectronics, Laser Physics, Nuclear Physics, Condensed matter Physics, Materials Science and Nanotechnology.

Career Prospects:

M.Sc. Physics program will encourage the students to qualify the competitive examination such as JEST, GATE and CSIR-NET to opt higher studies. This program will also open job opportunities for the student in the various Government and Public organizations as per their defined selection procedure.

Admission Procedure:
  • The admission is based on merit, computed on the basis of marks secured in qualifying examination. University also conducts interviews of all applicants before admitting the eligible candidates.
  • Out of the total intake, 40% seats are allotted to students of Uttarakhand under the State Quota and the rest are open to students from all India. In case the allotted percentage of seats of State Quota remains vacant, it will be filled by All India students.
