Anti-Terrorism Day-Report

Women Cell, School of Liberal Arts organized a virtual program to commemorate the death anniversary of Shri Rajiv Gandhi, former prime minister of India. This day is marked as Anti-Terrorism Day to eliminate terrorist activities in society.

The chief guest of this program was Prof (Dr) Dharam Buddhi, Vice-Chancellor, Uttaranchal University, Dehradun. Prerna, a student of BA(H)English and member women’s cell started the program by inviting Dr Shravan Kumar, Dean SLA, to offer a formal welcome to the dignitaries. Prof Kumar welcomed everyone with his poem. Ms Reetika, a member women cell paid a soulful tribute to Late Sh. Rajiv Gandhi by remembering his contribution towards nation-building. Mr Vaibhav Chauhan of BA (H) Psychology recited a patriotic poem. Thereafter Priya Juyal took the dias and shared her insights on safety and security as a right to all the citizens of the nation. Prof Dharam Buddhi, Vice-Chancellor also shared his inspirational words and advised the students to remain vigilant and conscious every time. After the address of the vice-chancellor Jagriti, members Women Cell initiated the pledge against terrorism. A vote of Thanks was proposed by Himanshi Mishra, BA first year.

The program was coordinated by Dr Pinki Chugh, member secretary of Women Cell under the guidance of Dr Reeta Rautela, Chairperson Women Cell and HoD, SLA along with Prof (Dr) Shravan Kumar, Dean School of Liberal Arts.
