The Department of Mechanical Engineering organized a One Day Online Workshop on “Industrial Approach Towards Automobile Designing Using Solid works”, in association with “CETPA”, for the students of B Tech Mechanical Engineering on 16th February 2022.
The workshop was initiated with the welcome speech given by Mr Vivek john, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering-UIT, Prof (Dr) S D Pandey, Dean-UIT presided over the workshop. In his presidential address, Prof (Dr) S D Pandey explained the importance of the use of Solid work software in design analysis and application in the engineering field. He also shared his valuable thoughts regarding the insights of the industrial application of solid works software.
Mr Sanjeev Kumar Joshi, HoD, ME also shared his views on the online workshop, he said the aim of the workshop is for the students to get exposure to the industry in the field of designing using Solid works software. Mr Anurag Gaurav, Trainer, CETPA Infotech Pvt. Ltd. was the trainer for the one-day online workshop; he took the session and gave a detailed lecture on Solid works and their application in Mechanical Design and Drafting. He highlighted the area of designing the layout with examples. Later in that session students got real hands of experience and learned to design the chassis of an automobile.
The Faculty Coordinator for conducting the workshop was Mr Vivek John, Assistant Professor, ME-UIT and M Saurabh Aggarwal, Assistant Professor, ME-UIT, Uttaranchal University. At the end of the workshop, Mr Sanjeev Kumar Joshi, HoD, ME motivated and encouraged the students to get professional skills in the designing field, followed by the vote of thanks proposed by Mr Vivek John. Dr Shushant Singh, Assistant Professor, ME-UIT, Mr Avnish Kumar, Assistant Professor, ME, UIT, Ms Ruby Pant, Assistant Professor, ME-UIT, Mr Raman Kumar, Assistant Professor, ME-UIT were also present during the online workshop.
